What is Included in the Golf Package?

Wooden Sticks golfers receive far more than just a greens fee… they experience the Wooden Sticks Player’s Badge; an inclusive package that consists of valet parking, green fees for 18 holes, shared use of power cart, full use of the practice facilities, on-cart snacks and refreshments and the choice of breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner depending on their Tee Time. All on course food and beverage, alcohol and pro shop purchases are extra.

How to make a Tee Time Reservation?

Tee Time reservations may be booked four weeks in advance from the date you wish to play. Please call 905-852-4379 to reserve a time.

Can Twosomes Book?

Twosomes will be paired with another twosome when possible.

When can a Single Player book?

Single players may call within one week prior to the date of play and will be paired up with a twosome or three-some.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

When booking a tee time Wooden Sticks takes full payment at the time of booking, once payment has been processed there are no cash refunds, in the event of a cancellation or failure to show for a scheduled tee time. You may reschedule your tee time 72 hours in advance from the date of play. If you reschedule after that time period you may only reschedule within 7 days for a new date of play. Depending on when you reschedule your tee time upgrade charges may apply.

What is the Rain Check Policy?

1. Rain checks are only issued on the day of play. Anything prior is considered a rescheduled tee time.
2. Once arriving at the club, it is solely at the discretion of the player if they wish to play.
3. If they choose not to tee off and not eat their first meal, they receive the full value of the pre-paid green fee towards a future round of golf in the form of a dollar amount rain check receipt from the Total E POS system
4. If they choose not to tee off after eating their first meal, they receive the value of the prepaid green fee less the value of the meal in the form of a dollar amount rain check receipt from the Total E POS system
5. If after their first meal they decide to tee off and subsequently quit playing throughout the first 9 holes, they will receive 50% of the prepaid green fee less the value of the meal in the form of a dollar amount rain check receipt from the Total E POS system.
6. If they tee-off the tenth tee (second 9 holes) and subsequently do not finish because of rain, no rain check will be issued.

Exceptions

In the event that lightning or excessive rain warrants closing the course and ending play (the club deems the course unsafe) all players will receive rain-checks equivalent to the last 9 holes played. In other words, players not completing 9 holes will receive a 18 hole rain-check (equivalent in dollars to the amount paid that day less meal value consumed to that point) and those on their second nine holes will receive a 50% rain-check of the value paid that day.

What is the 2010 Weather Guarantee?

If a player experiences rain and completes 18 holes, they will receive a
$25 voucher towards a future round of golf*

One $25.00 voucher per round, on new public bookings at regular rates inside one week of play Vouchers have no cash value, and expire October 2010
*Rain checks and weather guarantee cannot be combined. There are no cash refunds. Applicable Taxes Apply.
Regular Rates: Monday –Friday Before 9:00/After 2:00-$185.00, 9:00-2:00- $200.00
Weekends/Holiday Monday- Before 9:30/ After 12:00- $145.00, 9:30-12:00-$160.00

What is the Dress Code?

Wooden Sticks requests that all golfers follow the course dress code, failure to do so may result in a loss in golfing privileges. The following guidelines will be enforced:

  • Men must wear a collared shirt or mock neck shirt and tailored Bermuda length shorts or tailored pants.
  • Ladies must wear a collared shirt or crew neck shirt with sleeves, Bermuda length shorts or tailored pants.
  • Denim jeans, cut-offs, track pants, and tank tops will not be permitted at Wooden Sticks.
  • Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times. Golf shoes are recommended. Wooden Sticks is a soft spike facility.

What Time Should I Arrive Prior to my Tee-Time?

Groups are asked to arrive at least 1 hour prior to their tee-time. All golfers must register at Reception upon arrival at the course. Each golfer will be issued a Player’s Badge entitling them to the privileges of the course for the day; Player’s Badges must be worn in a visible location while at the golf course.

Are Club Rentals Available?

Yes. Rental Clubs can be arranged with the Pro Shop the day before or on the day of play.

Can I set up a Tab/Account for the Day?

Golfers have the option of setting up an account upon check-in at Reception. Accounts may be used for any incidental purchases throughout the day. All accounts must be settled before leaving the course.

Are there Packages without Meals?

There are no packages available without meals.

Do you offer just 9 Holes of Golf?

We do not offer just 9 holes of golf; however, we do offer a Nine & Dine Package for two. This package includes 9 holes of golf, shared use of power cart, and dinner for two people.This package is valid Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings after 4:00pm.

What is the Course Alcohol Policy?

All alcohol must be purchased from the course hospitality stations or clubhouse. This policy adheres to all legislated liquor laws and our liquor license. Unauthorized alcohol on the property will be confiscated.

Are there Gift Cards Available?

Yes, gift cards are available. You may purchase a gift card for any dollar amount which can be used for golf, the pro shop, dining etc. Sometimes we offer gift packages which can include golf, merchandise or other items for special days and the holiday season. You may order a gift card over the phone by calling 905-852-4379 and either pick it up in person or we can ship it to you for a charge.

Do you Offer Lessons and Clinics?

Yes, Wooden Sticks offers a variety of lessons and clinics for the beginner to the experienced golfer. Our team of fully certified C.P.G.A. Golf Professionals are dedicated to making you the best that you can be at this wonderful game. We offer comprehensive lesson programs that are taught in a casual and relaxed style, using the latest in state of the art teaching aides and video technology. Do you host Weddings and Banquets?

Yes, Wooden Sticks hosts weddings and banquets all year long. Our event coordinator will work with you to plan and facilitate your event from start to finish. Enjoy award winning cuisine, exceptional service, and a beautiful golf course setting for ceremonies and photos. The spacious dining room can accommodate smaller groups, while the Elgin Room caters to groups with up to 180 guests and is an ideal place to host large weddings or banquets. Wooden Sticks is also a great place to hold holiday parties and other special events.

What is the Tee Time Ownership Program?

The Wooden Sticks Tee Time Ownership Program is designed to accommodate individual and corporate golfers with a guaranteed weekly Tee Time for this season and beyond. Unlike private club memberships, the Wooden Sticks Tee Time Ownership Program allows any foursome you choose to golf for the day, ensuring maximum flexibility. Does Wooden Sticks Host Golf Tournaments?

Yes, Wooden Sticks hosts many corporate and charity golf tournaments during the golf season. Our Tournament Coordinator, C.P.G.A. professional staff and catering staff will work together to plan, facilitate and oversee your tournament. Wooden Sticks can accommodate tournaments with up to 180 guests. Do you have On-Site Meeting Space?

Yes! Wooden Sticks offers a professional and affordable venue for all of your events. The clubhouse offers a professional meeting rooms, a private meeting/dining lounge and a banquet room for up to 180 attendees.

Are you Open for Public Dining?

Wooden Sticks is open for public dining during the golf season and it is recommended to call for reservations. We also host special dining events throughout the year such as Valentine’s Dinner, Mother’s Day and Easter Brunches. Please check our website for upcoming dining events.If you are interested in planning your own special event, such as holiday parties, birthday parties or anniversary parties we will be happy to work with you to create your ideal event.
